Softwire is a highly successful, young company and we are currently looking to expand. We need top quality graduates with a desire to forge a career in the software development industry.
We offer our developers an almost unbeatable package, including:
- graduate starting salary of £28,000 plus £4,000 sign-on bonus (50% of sign-on bonus is brought-forward annual bonus)
- annual bonus and profit share to further reward your contribution to the company’s success – in your first full year you can expect to earn in the region of £35,000
- flexible working hours and conditions and no pressure to regularly exceed your contracted time
- pension, permanent health insurance and all the other boring stuff
- a relaxed and friendly working environment, regular social events and company outings.
We realise that joining a young company may be perceived as a greater risk than going to a more established organisation. However, we believe that this is more than justified by the potential rewards that Softwire offers, which include:
- varied and interesting work that will keep you on your toes day in, day out
- focused training, rapid personal development, and the opportunity to take on positions of responsibility at a very early stage in your career
- higher remuneration - by taking the risk of joining us in our youth, you will share personally in our success. We believe that all our staff should reap the rewards of our joint efforts - this is company policy!
- all the benefits of working in a small, tightly knit and supportive company - such as close monitoring of your achievement and progress, and a refreshing absence of stifling management hierarchy.
And last but by no means least, at Softwire you have the opportunity to really make a difference.
But you don't have to take our word for it - find out what our employees think. Or for more information on our company and business, check out our company overview.

Your profile
You are a graduate with an impeccable academic record - usually straight A's at A-level and a good degree from a top university. You have a strong interest in (though not necessarily vast experience of) computers in general, and computer programming in particular. You have an exceptional knack for problem solving and analytic deductive reasoning. You like a challenge and are hard working and eager to learn new skills. You want to work in London. You are a good communicator and team player. You may have a desire to manage projects and people. You believe that a job should be more than just what you do to fill time between sleeping and partying - and you definitely have a good sense of humour.
In summary, we’re looking for people with stand-out enthusiasm and abilities, people who were top of all their classes and have the grades and awards to show for it. You will need to demonstrate these qualities to us to be successful, so please make sure that they’re highlighted in your application.
Current vacancies
We are currently looking only for software developers (or trainee software developers). We do not at present have vacancies in other areas (e.g. testing or business analysis).
However, in addition to permanent vacancies, we also offer software development-based summer placements and internships - so you are welcome to apply even while you're still studying.
How to apply
The preferred way to apply is via our online application form.
Alternatively you can send your CV to recruit@softwire.com, but please ensure CVs contain as much of the information in the online form as possible, particularly school and university details and examination grades (and note that we prefer CVs to be sent in Microsoft Word format rather than e.g. Adobe PDF). Feel free to contact us for further information.
Please note that we do not work with recruitment agencies or consultants so candidates should apply to us directly.
If you'd rather not fill in the application form now, then just leave your name and email address (and/or any other contact details we should use) below to register your interest and we'll provide you with full details of our recruitment and interview procedures:
